With the help of the City of Colwood's volunteer program, we began in the summer of 2025 with a small group of dedicated volunteers
We achieve our mission by focused programs and coordinated hands-on activities that include:
Safe and responsible removal of invasive plant species
Rehabilitation and replanting of native plants to foster the natural return of resilient ecosystems and habitat
Sharing of formal and informal education programs and knowledge that inspire stewardship and conservation
Service - As good citizens and stewards, we serve the people of our community
Teamwork - everything we accomplish is through a team of volunteers sharing the work, sharing ideas and in coordination with the city’s staff, elected officials and citizens (other volunteer groups and businesses)
Gratitude - We are fortunate to live in this beautiful and peaceful place. We take actions to demonstrate this gratitude.
Conservation - In addition to the obvious regard for our natural spaces, we believe in using and sharing our limited resources in the most effective manner possible
Passion - We believe that a dedicated and passionate group of individuals is what starts change and encourages others to contribute and join the effort
